Fly Baba 2012
The Stray Dogs in Sweaters shuffled home from the three-day tournament, Fly Baba 2012 (23-25 March). The pack was a bit scruffier than when they left—with a few scratches, bruises and caked in even more dust than usual—but their tails were high and big grins gleamed through tired faces. We finished eighth out of nineteen teams, last in the top, “gold,” tier. It was a respectable finish given the stiff competition, and we played well even if it wasn’t all that we hoped for or that we were capable of.
Ultimate Frisbee Clinic in New Delhi - 11 March 2012
Delhi Ultimate co-hosted a clinic with Sport365India
About 30+ people attended the clinic in Delhi Thyagaraj stadium and had a great time discovering a new fast paced and exciting sport, where the spirit is paramount. Ultimate Frisbee is the only sport where men and women share the same field, and which is played without referee.
Ultimate is a non contact sport, and our discovery clinic will teach you all the basics to have fun!
Regular games are scheduled every Saturday at 2pm (winter time) or 3pm (summer time) at Sri Fort Sports Complex, please feel free to join.

The Lady Shri Ram College Workshop

A group of stray dogs made their way to Lady Sri Ram (LSR) College, Delhi to conduct a workshop. Everybody was pretty excited at the idea of going to a girls college despite the fact that they had to get up at the unearthly time of 5 am. At LSR, we were surprised to see the girls up and about at 7 in the morning, busy with their respective sport practices. It pleased everyone there to see so much passion for sport in them.
The St. Stephens Workshop
Delhi Ultimate and Stray Dogs in Sweaters conducted the first ever Ultimate workshop ( of many to follow ) at St. Stephens College in September, 2011. The workshop was a part of the college’s fest- Capriccio. The workshop was conducted by Bajju, Siddhant, Manik and Varun and Anupam
They went down on a hot Sunday afternoon to St. Stephens before coming for training on Sunday in Siri Fort. The workshop was very well received as close to 50 Stephanians participated with great enthusiasm. The participants consisted of both young men and women between the ages of 17-20.

The dogs woofed their way through another fun weekend! Throws and the zone were in focus this weekend… clearly layouts were not… see the clean t-shirts! :p
Thanks for showing up guys, always a pleasure playing with you guys. We had a strong showing this weekend with a lot of new faces. 3 teams cycled in and out with the winning team staying for consecutive games.
A fabulous weekend, given good fun ultimate and 5-0 hammering of bolton by the reds! ;)
Untile next time…

Fantastic weather and a good game (14th August)
It was lovely weather out in Delhi and the dogs were out to have fun. We started by practicing the flicks (fore-arm throws) and then moved on to a five a side game.
Ben showed up (from Lucknow) to join the practice - Ben was part of the winning combo at BUO’11. We bid him farewell with dinner at Karim’s in Nizzamuddin.
A new player, Ajay joined us. Hope he becomes a regular.
Lot of good throws, catches. Really enjoyed marking Amita today. She runs well and gave me hell :-)

Sunday instead of Saturday (for 3 weeks)
For the next 3 weeks (as of 8th August 2011), we will be playing on sundays at 4:00 pm. Venue remains the same- hockey field in Siri Fort.

This is due to the fact that the football field is under repair and, consequently, the football team have been given the hockey field between 5pm-7pm on tuesday, thursday and saturday for the next 3 weeks by the Siri Fort authorities.
